Steve has changed my mind about therapy. I’m not the ‘therapy type’. I thought talking about ‘the problems’ doesn’t solve the problems, and therefore is useless. However, I’ve learned so much through just talking. I can see things from different points of view, additionally, getting personal validation is so comforting. (I also previously thought that was nonsensical) I’ve grown so much this year, and I’ve learned more from my experiences than I have ever before. Even though I have been in therapy multiple times I never thought that it worked. A big step to that is finding someone that you actually like and respect. It can’t be just you respect this person as a professional you have to like them as a person. I’ve never had that step before. That in itself was the missing link in my self discovery journey.

Steven does a wonderful job at helping you understand and process trauma and situations. He explains things thoroughly and helps with solutions and steps to take to deal with and process your situation. Highly recommend

I highly recommend Steve Van Schaick. Steve has been an absolutely incredible resource for me. He is a great listener, and his calm demeanor is a major plus. He helped me through a lot of personal struggles, and I can certainly say I am better off having worked with Steve.
